When my dad showed me a picture he made of old Lagonda V12 racer at the Louwman Museum, The Hague, I was immediately captured by the car’s color and early aerodynamic design features. For the context I found inspiration in old pictures from Le Mans in the nineteen thirties as this Lagonda V12 finished 3rd and 4th at the 1939 edition. The large tire shaped arch over the racetrack is still a feature used today.
